living-on-cydonia: Because to me, its more than just a song written by my favourite band. Sure, its about competition, written for the olympics, but it also has such a deeper meaning. When I read these words, it reminds me to stay strong. Take the hate that people say and turn it into something so much better, a motivator. Because I choose to SURVIVE, regardless of how many people try to shoot me down, try to make me weak. I won’t let them get to me, I’ll keep up the pace of my strong head and heart. By ignoring them, I’ll reveal my strength to everyone. I won’t just shrug off what they say, I’ll take their insults and better myself, and that will be my revenge, proving them wrong. I wont give up because I choose to THRIVE and I will conquer my insecurities. And THATS what makes Survival an amazing song, and THATS what it means to my life.
